A new painting in Indian ink, stained with tea. Happy memories of motorcycling in California many moons ago!
Three simple line drawings on location in Santa Maria Castellabate, South West Italy. A long time since I’ve done any representative work like this. It’s all about observation rather than drawing!
This is the second of the ‘invented’ landscapes I painted at the demonstration day last weekend. It didn’t start out as a night scene but the impressions of light on the water led me there over the course of the painting!
One of two pieces I did at Saturday’s demonstration in Woodstock. Painted from memory and imagination – inspired by memories of Connemara.
This is the painting I did at the ‘inspired by music’ live painting event last Friday. A few finishing touches today and I’m really pleased with this one! Watercolour and ink on paper bonded to board.
One of two demonstration pieces I did yesterday for Oxford Artweeks…watercolour and ink.
A new painting which will be on display in the Woodstock exhibition until end of April. Mainly Indian ink with watercolour.
The sculpture garden at Woodstock Museum. I have tried to create a 1950s film feel by dramatic light. Indian ink on paper.
I like the slightly black and white film quality of this image. Indian ink on paper. Woodstock at night.
A view of Market Place, Woodstock – looking towards the Feathers Hotel.
Always lovely to see one of my paintings on the cover of Limited Edition magazine. This was done in Indian ink. I seem only to be painting trees at the moment!
