Two paintings that were both inspired by the music I was listening to at the time, my next series of paintings will hopefully develop this idea a lot further. Also very interested in the idea of creating music from my painting experiences. Very excited to see how this develops!

Indian ink paintings of Hungerford Bridge and South Bank, London

A painting inspired by the river valley near where I live. Beautiful to see the shining water slipping through the trees.

Inspired by a view towards Port Meadow with Oxford’s dreaming spires in the far distance.

Another large canvas painted with ink. Inspired by the river valley here in Woodstock.

Happy with how this has turned out, ink on unprimed canvas again. One for the exhibition at Real Wood in September I think.

Back at Aston Pottery today working on some new designs. Still learning how to apply the pigment in the correct strength as it will come out of the kiln with far brighter colours than you see here in its raw painted state. Planning an exhibition of ceramic painting in May 2012. More details in the new year.
